Cost and quote for new business
Build the cost of one unit from the bottom up, for any product or service. The bill of materials lists what goes into a unit (quantity × cost, plus scrap). The operations list the steps that take time: make, assemble, test, pack, or deliver a service. Each step carries its cycle time, units per cycle, efficiency, equipment rate, people and labor rate, and setup time per lot. Other per-unit costs (packaging, freight, royalties, outside services) and one-time costs (fixtures, equipment, validation, design) complete it. Overhead, SG&A and the target margin turn cost into price.
The same numbers show whether you can deliver: hours a year, stations needed and loading for each operation, with the busiest one flagged. Break-even volume and payback show how exposed the start-up investment is if volumes come in low, and the volume table gives tier pricing.
Pull volume, cycle and efficiency from a saved capacity plan instead of typing them twice, and send the investment and contribution to the CAPEX sheet when the opportunity needs a capital request.
