Simple linear regression
Ordinary least squares for one X. You get the equation, standard errors, a 95% interval for the slope, R², adjusted R², the F test, and residuals. R² is not evidence that the model is adequate. Look at the residual plot. A funnel, a curve, or one point that owns the line means the equation is not ready to use.
This is not multiple regression and not a designed experiment. Two or more factors that were set on purpose belong on the DOE sheet.
Paste the pairs in matching rows. The slope interval is for that line, at 95%. If the residual plot bends, look at the scatter sheet before you use the equation.
One predictor means one X. Adding a second column of causes belongs on the experiment sheet, where the runs were set on purpose. Report the equation with the residual plot, not the equation alone.
