Waste walk audit

Walk the process with six look-fors for each waste: transportation, inventory, motion, waiting, overproduction, overprocessing, defects, and optionally unused skills. Answer each Yes, No or N/A. Every Yes needs an observation with a number: a count, a distance, a time.

Each observation is scored severity (1–5) × frequency (1–5), so the action list ranks what to fix first. The waste-free score is the share of applicable look-fors that were clear. The audit prints with signature lines and exports its action list as a CSV file.

Score only the look-fors you could see on the walk. N/A keeps a look-for out of the waste-free score. The ranked list is an order for the next walk.

Write the observation in the words you would use on the floor, with the number you counted. A score without that note is hard to act on a week later. The printout is the record of this walk.
