Takt time, demand and capacity
Customers give demand in whatever unit they have: 50 million a year early in a program, then monthly or weekly releases. Enter it as given; the sheet converts it to an annual figure (month × 12, week × 52, or per production day of your plant) and reports results per year, month, week, production day, or shift.
Describe how the plant runs: shifts, hours, days, weeks and shutdown days; breaks, other planned stops, planned maintenance and changeovers; then availability, performance and yield. The sheet shows where every scheduled hour goes, the takt time, the longest cycle that still meets demand, theoretical and effective capacity, utilization, and the machines or machine-hours you need. When capacity is short it lists the ways to close the gap: more machines, a faster cycle, a higher OEE, another shift, or another day.
Quick takt is still there for a single station: available time over demand, with the number of stations a longer cycle needs. Save a capacity plan to the project record and the Cost & quote sheet can reuse it.
