Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-10-18. These terms apply to the Tithesis™ website and tools at tithesis.com (the "Service"), provided by Tithesis LLC ("we"), Raleigh, North Carolina. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is. The Service is an educational, training and calculation aid. It is an educational and training sandbox, and a set of calculation aids for data you enter. It is meant for learning, practice and analysis, and for preparing calculations that a qualified person reviews. It is not a system of record. It is not intended to be the sole basis for accepting product, releasing a lot, approving a device or making a regulatory submission.
2. No certification or conformance claim. Tithesis LLC has not sought or obtained certification, registration, clearance or approval of the Service from any certification body, standards body or regulator. It does not claim that the Service or its results conform to any standard, regulation or contract. The Service provides support material only: method descriptions, references and test records. Names of standards, organizations and products appear only to identify them; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by their owners.
3. Your responsibility. You are responsible for the data you enter, checking each result, and deciding whether the Service is suitable for your purpose. If you use it within your organization's management system or regulated processes, you may do so only under your own validation for your intended use, to the extent your procedures, customers and regulators require. Results depend on your inputs and on the assumptions and limits stated on each sheet and on the Validation support & trust page. You remain responsible for every decision you make using a result.
4. Your data. Calculations run in your browser. The values you enter are not sent to us. Saved work is kept in your browser's storage on your device. We cannot see, back up or recover it, and it can be lost, for example by clearing site data. Keep any result you need, with your review, in your own controlled system. See the Privacy notice.
5. Changes and availability. We may change, update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, without notice. That includes methods, wording and results. Tithesis is currently available only as the hosted site. Only the current hosted release is available; earlier releases may not remain available. When a release includes calculation corrections, the Validation support & trust page says so.
6. No warranty. To the extent permitted by law, the Service and all results, content and documentation are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted or will preserve data, or that it works in any particular browser or device. Statements about how methods are checked describe our own testing; they are not a warranty.
7. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Tithesis LLC and its members, managers and contractors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any result. This includes indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, production, data, recall, rework or scrap costs. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8. Licence and acceptable use. © 2026 Tithesis LLC. All rights reserved. You may use the Service on tithesis.com, and you may print, copy and keep the results you generate for your own work. You may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the Service's code or content, remove notices, or interfere with the Service. Third-party software in the Service is licensed under its own terms; see Third-party notices. Results you generate from your own data are yours.
9. Trademarks. Tithesis™ and the Tithesis bird logo are trademarks of Tithesis LLC. The TITHESIS and bird design mark is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (Reg. No. 7,353,033) for business consulting and research services.
10. Reports and feedback. If you report a result that looks wrong, or send a suggestion, we may use it without obligation to you. Do not send confidential data.
11. Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute about the Service will be decided by the state or federal courts located in North Carolina. This does not remove any right you have under the law of the place where you live to bring a claim there.
12. General. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept it. Contact: contact@tithesis.com.
